RD27 – RJAN Footy Tipping 2023

There was no surprises that BIANCA POIOR took out top honors for the 2023 RJAN Tipping Comp. Being overconfident with her 9 point lead coming into the final round there was speculation she might not even put her tips in as the ultimate flex and middle finger to the rest of the tipsters, however in true form she smashed out a 7pt round to see out the year on 167pts… not to mention she has lead 20 out of the 27 rounds of the comp! Very impressive for someone who doesn’t follow any team (TBA), well done and congratulations!

You might have thought they call him EVEREST because he takes forever to get to the point… but little did you know it’s really because COLIN O’BRIEN can hike/climb a leader board like no other! In the last 4 rounds he jagged 3 perfect rounds and a 14 point JOKER to finishing on 158pts and claim the $200 2nd place price over front runners PAUL ABRA and ALLYSON JONES (equal 3rd on 156pts).

A massive thank you goes out to MADISON EXPRESS as always for getting behind the RJAN Tipping comp. Each year we seem to grow and Madison is a huge part of that. Without them the RJAN Footy Tipping Comp would not be the juggernaut it is today… I mean sure I’d probably have a little more free time of a Monday/Tuesday morning but we would definitely not have such a lucrative first prize ($1000) for a FREE tipping comp.

Specials mentions goes to:

  • DEAN REHBEIN (140pts) who managed a 20 point JOKER in the last round but unfortunately still wasn’t enough to beat his Dads TONY “THE JUDGE” REHBEIN (146pts) and BILL GRAY (145pts).
  • JAMIE HAWES for being the bigger man for once and not mentioning he finished higher on the leader board.
  • SAM KAY for putting his tips in this week… although he is on stress leave today because of the ordeal.
  • The 25x people still yet to use their JOKER making certain individuals seem higher on the leader board than they really are.

Thanks again for a stellar year! The banter has been nothing short of entertaining and it was makes running this comp so enjoyable… although looking back on the season I was a little lite on when it came to the extra attention I normally show to the Manly collective, I best pick up my game next year! Hope to see you all back then, till then GO THE KNIGHTS!!!
