RD27 – RJAN Footy Tipping 2026

Sorry for the delay, with the leaderboard being so tight this year I’ve had the abacus out tallying up all the scores… that and I wanted to make you all sweat a little on results.

In a weird anomaly, 145 point looks to be the benchmark for winning the RJAN Tipping Comp with MARTIN NEILSON and GARRY PENHALL both equaling the exact score that MITCH “NO ALIBI” SESSIONS posted last year (2025) to take out top honors. With the conclusion of an equal first place the prize pools of $1000 (1st) and $200 (2nd) prize pools are added together and split equally between the leaders MARTIN and GARRY.

The bridesmaids JACKSON TWINING and MICK GOODWIN couldn’t quite make up the deficit and have tied for 2nd place and on 144 points. MICK did well to lead for the majority of the season but fell short towards the end, while JACKSON could have won it with a decent JOKER round, but hey its only $1000 mate! Instead, they will get 100% of the 3rd place prize pool ($0) and a silver start for their troubles.

Rounding out the podium is the peoples champ MARK WELLHAM and GARY HADLAND on 143 points.

At the other end on 87 points (43 points NZ) TONY SMALL thrived in pretending like he was trying to get the wooden spoon all along. He will now rock the trash can icon next to his name on the leaderboard for the rest of eternity as a constant reminder of his 2026 triumph. Although some might say branding him with such symbol is unnecessary as his name is synonymous in losing circles around the world.

Alongside our $1200 prize pool we were lucky enough give away 5x Jerseys thanks to our generous sponsors ACO POLYCRETECABLEDUCT SYSTEMS, B&R ENCLOSURES, EZYSTRUT and L&C INDUSTRIAL. Their support and generosity is greatly appreciated, so please do show these guys some love, even if it’s reminding them where they placed on the leader board compared to you ;P

Thanks again for a stellar year! The banter has been nothing short of entertaining and it always makes running this comp so enjoyable… although looking back on the season I was a little lite on when it came to the extra attention I normally show to the Manly collective, and letting one win a jersey will no doubt be brought up again next year… Hope to see you all back then, until then… UP THE KNIGHTS!!! Let me know who you’ve got?!
